Rural Georgia Legislators: “Its About Freedom”.
Posted by: Keith in All Items, Courts, Georgia, Traffic Laws, United StatesIn Georgia, you can still legally refuse to put on your seatbelt - if you drive a pickup truck. Isn’t a basic tenent of law that a law can not compel performance? If so, how does legislation overcome this? Is it a public policy issue? I’m not a lawyer- please forgive me if I’ve displayed some ignorance of this issue. But this topic has come up before in class and I’ve always wondered about it since. Thank you.
